Redland Spring Festival

The Event

Welcome to the 2008 inaugural REDLAND CLASSIC RIDE to be run on Sunday 14th September 2008.

The Rotary Club of Redlands Bayside is organising the event in conjunction with the Sharks Triathlon and Cycling Club.

This ride will be run in conjunction with the REDLANDS SPRING FESTIVAL a community event conducted by the Redlands City Council.

Major beneficiaries of this fun ride are the Heart Foundation Australia - Queensland, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and The Rotary Foundation

Three separate routes will be offered for the differing standards of the riders, 75km, 45km and 15km. It is expected that over 700 riders from the Redlands and Brisbane will participate in the event.

This scenic bayside and rural fun ride has been designed for the rider's enjoyment. Come and enjoy the temperate winter temperatures experienced in the bayside areas.

All rides will be starting and finishing at the Sharks Sporting Club at Colburn Ave Victoria Point.

The 75km route proceeds through the picturesque seaside towns of Point Halloran, and Victoria Point  then moves through the rural timbered areas of Thornlands and Capalaba to Wellington Point returning through Capalaba and Victoria Point to the Sharks Sporting Club.
The 45km ride proceeds through the picturesque seaside towns of Point Halloran, and Victoria Point then moves through the rural timbered areas of Thornlands and Capalaba returning through Victoria Point to  the Sharks Sporting Club.
The 15km ride has been designed to enable the participants to cover the journey over flat suburban streets of Victoria Point and Point Halloran with very little traffic.
